Being the procrastinator that I am, I of course did nothing on January 1st to kick off my Journey. But I did get moving on the second, with a lil help from and old friend. Most of my time is spent on the couch binge watching something. Lately I’ve decided to rewatch one of my favorite shows, Dexter. Each episode is about 45 minutes long. Yesterday, I decided to watch Dexter while on the treadmill (yes i have had a treadmill all this time, it is handy for hanging clothes). Well, I pulled the clothes off the treadmill and got to stepping. I absolutely can’t get to running yet but I did walk for 40 minutes on the treadmill and did 4 minutes on a climber that I also have owned and done nothing with. I survived and I’m quite proud of myself.
I got a Samsung watch for Christmas. This thing has really shown me that I’m basically a rock. In that I barely move. Yesterday was the first day that I reached the set goal of 6,000 steps. I’ve been averaging 1,500 steps since I put this thing on. It was so rewarding to reach that 6,000, the watch lit up and did a lil song for me and all. Great motivation.
